192.168.1.1

Ip address 192.168.l.l is a generic IP for routers such as linksys. Devoted to the router settings. Settings of the router will be different in general.

The usual password is:

admin

Enter the password that you have modified. If you can not find your password just reset the router to obtain the default password.

Can not connect via browser to the router 192.168.1.1?

I can not connect to my router 192.168.1.1 via browser. What should I do?

Anwser:

1.Make sure the windows firewall or other third party softwares like Norton are not blocking any access at this time.

2.Try using the https again and leave the username field blank and for Password use "admin".

3.Set your tcp/ip to be a dhcp client and then reboot. Go to a cmd prompt and type ipconfig.

4.Go to the command prompt and type in "arp -a" to get you IP addrtesses. 

5.Type the full "http://192.168.0.1" or "http://192.168.2.1" into the browser address window, instead of 192.168.1.1.
